Vampires for Valentines Giveaway Hop

I don’t know about you, but I’d love to have a vampire for my Valentine—or maybe a few different vamps.

What is it about vampires that makes me love them so much? I think I’ll leave it to my favorite actor—who also happened to play my favorite vampire, other than my own—Alex O’Loughlin because I couldn’t explain it any better than he did.

“I’ve always been obsessed with the genre, and the beautiful romanticism and erotic kind of nature of the immortal being, the undead who lives on human blood. Just the thought of eternity and us experiencing it, and the fear that brings up in my heart when I think of it.”

“I’ve always been enamored with the shameless sensuality within the genre, unlike any other genre. And, also, the shameless excess to which these creatures live, and how deeply vampires feel, sensoraly. Their senses are heightened. If you were to compare a vampire to an animal, I would think it would probably be a cat, on a lot of levels, with the touch and smell. They’re so sensitive, especially when they morph. I’ve always loved that.”

I just had to include this next quote of his about him playing a vampire on Moonlight.

“As an actor, you have to get over yourself … so you don’t judge the characters you play or the scenarios you find yourself in. I’m forever finding my mouth on men’s necks or wrists, and yes, it is bizarre, but I am used to it.”

So yes, it is that shameless sensuality and everything else Alex explained that makes me love vampires. Besides the vamp Alex played, Mick St. John, some of my other favorites are Lestat de Lioncourt, Henry Fitzroy, and Eric Northman. I’ll take all four of them for my Valentines, but if I have to choose just one, it would be Mick.

Now for the giveaway and my vampires. I’m giving away 3 eBook copies of my newest novelette, Midnight Confessions. This is the third book in my Nocturnal Surrender SeriesUPDATE: THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.

TNSS: Book 3

TNSS: Book 3

Nicole French is fed up with only seeing her boyfriend, Bastian, at the sanguinarian club Nocturnal Surrender, where he always wears his prosthetic fangs and vampire contacts. When she pays him a surprise visit, and he answers the door half-naked and wet from showering, she can’t help taking advantage of the situation. But when her sexual advances send him bolting from her, she is stunned and concerned.

Bastian Evanko isn’t ready to reveal his secret to Nicole, to tell her he truly is a vampire. But when she gets him too aroused to hide the monster inside, he decides to confess all. Unfortunately, before he can explain things properly, his brother Donovan calls, demanding his presence to handle vampire business. Nicole is suddenly along for the ride, and Bastian gives her a crash course in all things vampiric. Will she be able to handle being thrown into a strange new world? Or will she betray him as his fiancée did two hundred years ago?

As if that isn’t enough to deal with, Donovan confronts Bastian about the recklessness of bringing Nicole into their world too soon and more confessions are made. First between the brothers, and later between Bastian and Nicole. All hide deep pain and guilt, and they all need to confess their secrets to find peace of mind. But will they be able to salvage their relationships or will their confessions tear them apart?

Mmm, Alex O’Loughlin does make an attractive vampire. I think that Gerard Butler makes a very sexy vampire as well. He is one of my faves, along with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise as Louis and Lestat. There is something so sensual and powerful about those elegant and sophisticated vamps.

I forgot all about Gerard playing a vamp. That was hot. I did love Louis, too. Brad played that role perfectly. I think the movie for Interview with the Vampire was done great. Like you said, sensual and powerful, elegant and sophisticated. Now I need to watch it again. Good luck in the giveaway! 🙂

I just not to long ago found Moonlight, sad they only made one season I loved it. Eric is my fave at the moment – he is just everything I love in a vampire – I am still mad at Sookie LOL.

I was upset when they cancelled Moonlight, but if it had to end, at least it ended with hope. My imagination goes wild with how that night went from there. If I had to pick a current vamp, Eric would be it. Miss the long hair still, but he’s what a vamp should be. Good luck in the giveaway! 🙂

Now this is a Blog Hop I can really sink my teeth into! I LOVE Vampire’s and when you mix them in with Romance Novels the result is intoxicating! Who doesn’t love Vampires! They are usually handsome, sometimes dark and brooding, have sexy names like Sebastian – Damien – Alexander, and they have been alone so long and searching for their Bride, so they can have that one perfect woman to love! Some of my absolute favorite Vampires are :

Lothaire Daciano from the book Lothaire. Lothaire is sexy, wicked, confidant, and has been waiting for his Bride for Eons.

Ian MacPhie from the book All I Want For Christmas Is A Vampire. Ian is a Highland warrior and a Vampire. Sexy with an accent and a kilt.

Sebastien Newcombe from the book Phantom Shadows. Bastien is a misunderstood and sexy badass. He just loves to push everyone’s buttons.

Javier from the book Covet. Javier desires her above all others.

See what I mean….I LOVE VAMPIRES!

I know what you mean about this Blog Hop. When I saw it I couldn’t resist. I love the way you describe vampires, especially the part about them searching for their Brides. I definitely love Lothaire and Javier, too, but I’ll have to look into the others. I can never get enough sexy vamps. Thanks for stopping by, and good luck in the giveaway! 🙂

I always forget about The Lost Boys, but I did love that movie. True Blood vamps are definitely my favorite of what is currently on TV. And as much as I love that hot-ass werewolf, Alcide, I want my vampires–and in particular, Eric! You’re welcome, and good luck! 🙂
